KINDNESS is a fun and silly, yet beautiful song written by a grade 3 class at Don Christian Elementary School in Surrey, BC. Students focussed on the topic of kindness as was the theme their school had that month, and through discussion and brainstorming, came up with a plan to write a funny song of all the silly bad things that could cause a day to be "a really bad day", but that turns into a song of gratitude for being welcomed and accepted at school in spite of it! This school had late slips that said "we're glad you're here", which was the inspiration for the chorus!
