I AM WATER is an incredible song written by a grade 3/4 class at White Rock Elementary in White Rock, BC. The students were tasked with writing a song about an aspect of the environment, and had recently learned about the Canadian water warrior, Autumn Peltier. Through discussions about voicing and some of their recent writing, the class decided to write a song from the perspective of water, that is threatened by the destruction of the environment by humans. It was a big stretch for this age group, but they rose to the challenge and the students were so proud of their song. We sent the song to Autumn herself!
