The Snap-Tunes Program

Snap-Tunes songwriting program is offered over three sessions and can take place right in your classroom. The program explores different aspects of songwriting as students add their ideas and thoughts into the process. Engaging with song style and mood and the emotions they elicit, brainstorming "juicy words" and a main idea for the chorus, exposing rhyming patterns, and how poetry and music are similar but different, expanding more detailed ideas into the verses, and entering into imaginative percussion exercises, the students have a well-rounded experience of songwriting, and feel proud of their completed "class song". The song is then recorded and edited, and made into a YouTube lyric video, as well as uploaded to Spotify to share with families!
(hint: parents LOVE this!) Video Option*Would you like your class song to be made into a music video? With the addition of a 4th session, Laura will take your class through a planned video shoot to express their song visually. The addition of this session and product is an incredible enhancement to the program and serves as a keepsake for years to come.
